Bruce Peter Morin

Meet Bruce.

In 1996, I made the decision to leave my corporate job and go out on my own. At the time, there weren't many small agencies focused on the construction industry — but that's where I found my lane.

My very first client was Trumbull Restoration Company in Plainville, Connecticut. They were doing impressive masonry restoration work on churches, historic structures, and major landmarks — including the Pilgrim Monument in Provincetown, Massachusetts.

More importantly, that relationship shaped me. David Catucci, the owner of Trumbull, became a good friend and someone I learned a great deal from. He gave me an inside look at the construction world and helped me understand not just the work itself, but the people behind it — and how to market to them in a way that felt real.

"Building is about more than materials alone. It's about craftsmanship, structure, discipline, and character."

David also introduced me to Freemasonry — something that has stayed with me through the years. I've always been drawn to its architectural foundation: the symbolism of columns, tools, geometry, and the idea that building is about more than materials alone. That way of thinking has always resonated with me, both personally and professionally.

Over the years, that foundation led me to work with some of the industry's leading homebuilders, along with real estate professionals, architectural firms, and manufacturers serving the construction industry. That journey eventually brought me to where I am today with UFP Construction — where I continue to tell the stories of the people, products, and projects helping shape the built world.

The views and opinions expressed here are my own and don't reflect those of any company I work for.

For the Doers

Construction moves fast and talks slow. This is my attempt to change that — a running log of ideas, observations, and conversations from someone who's spent years telling the stories this industry struggles to tell about itself. For the people doing the work, and the ones helping them get their message out.
